Mission and Vision Statements
Mission Statement adopted by the Library Board on August 18, 2020; vision statement approved on October 22, 2020.
The mission of the Galesburg-Charleston Memorial District Library is to foster partnerships and enhance access to resources for education, recreation, technology, and wellness in a safe and welcoming environment.
In fulfilling its mission, the Galesburg-Charleston Memorial District Library will:
- Serve as a community gathering place,
- Increase public access to technology,
- Collaborate with local experts and organizations;
- Provide programs to improve physical and mental health, and
- Improve the library's facilities to make it more attractive and welcoming.
